“My wedding plan changed so abruptly, I was a nervous wreck!,” said Rachel Phelan, winner of Rich’s Wedding package at the 2019 Wedding Social Event held in March at the Rich’s Atrium. “Our wedding reception went from the backyard on our family farm to the Atrium at Rich’s. We were blown away.”
Rachel and Austin were among dozens of couples that attended the wedding social. Filled with premier wedding partners, Rich’s put on a cocktail party-like reception to showcase local services to help couples’ plan their special day. In addition to the elegant décor, the cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, there were three drawings for 1) a Reception at the Atrium put on by Rich’s Catering, 2) a Honeymoon travel package from The Travel Team and a custom wedding cake from Cookie, Buffalo’s premier bakery.
Rachel and Austin wanted to keep their wedding ceremony outside on the 400-acre farm. Rachel notes, “Steve (Rich’s Director of Catering and Event Design) did an amazing job of accommodating us so we could keep the ceremony outside and then host the party in the Atrium for our 150 guests. Working with that team was wonderful. They are efficient, flexible, creative and full of helpful ideas. They take the stress out of planning!”
In addition to the reception, the couple walked out with a $500 gift card from L3 Studios, and an order for unique toasting glasses that they found with Loaded Lumber, a vendor on site.
“This was by far the best wedding show I’ve been to,” Rachel said. Every vendor gave away a meaningful gift, it was low-pressure, enjoyable and fun!”
