There are plenty of places in the US that will satisfy your need for some warm weather, rest and relaxation after your wedding. These honeymoon destinations may not be beachy resorts, but they’re home to warm weather, storied history, great food and a lot more!

Fredericksburg, Texas

Located not far from both San Antonio and Austin, this small town is known for fields of wildflowers, distinct bed and breakfasts, and over 30 vineyards and wineries in and around the city. There’s also lots of history among the Texas hills in Fredericksburg. This city holds on to its German roots and celebrates its place as Lyndon B. Johnson’s birthplace.

Savannah, Georgia

Historic inns and small B&Bs welcome honeymooners with Southern hospitality in Savannah. Coffee shops, breweries and art galleries are all part of this old city’s charm. Food ranges from casual barbecue to high end French cuisine, with something for every couple. The beaches of Tybee Island are just a 20-minute drive from downtown Savannah if you need a little sand and surf on your honeymoon.

Sedona, Arizona

Nestled into a desert filled with red rock stone formations, Sedona makes the perfect honeymoon destination for adventurous couples. Accommodations range from cozy cabins to luxury resorts in this city named America’s Most Beautiful Place by USA Weekend. Gorgeous hikes, Southwestern-style art galleries, wine tastings, romantic swimming holes and more greet visitors in Sedona.

Taos, New Mexico

The snowcapped mountains’ Ski Valley and a culture-filled desert town exist simultaneously in Taos. In this southwestern town, which is just under five hours from Denver in the car, there is everything from handmade chocolate to hot springs. Both Native and Spanish culture abound here and can be seen in the town’s architecture, art, museums, food and small businesses.
